Hi,
I installed the program on a Mac, and everything went smoothly until step 12. I was unable to find a "drop down" menu to use. There are drop down menus on WineBottler, but none of them could be used to identify any program. So after fiddling with it for a while, I entered donor6/donor.exe into the "program to install" field. This seemed to work, as I got the "prefix was created successfullly" message and Donor Manager 6 (the name I entered) appears in the applications folder (along with wine and wine bottler). However, it won't open.
Can you tell me what I did wrong, or how to fix the problem?
We are looking forward to the next version being supported by Mac software. This looks like it will be a great help to our ministry if we can get it working

Re: Trouble accessing using Wine/Winebottler
Sorry you have run into problems here.
You *should* get the DM option in the drop down box ... if it isn't there, it means something has gone wrong at some previous stage in the process.
If you have not already done so, try going back and starting the process from the beginning again.
If the donor6\donor.exe option still doesn't appear in the drop down box in Wine Bottler for the "Select Start File" let me know and I'll scratch my head a bit harder to see if I can figure out what the problem might be.
It generally *just works.*

Re: Trouble accessing using Wine/Winebottler
John, I am having the same problem. I have downloaded DM and installed it with Wine Bottler and everything looks fine, but it won't open. I've gone back and repeated the process several times to no avail. Any suggestions?

Are you getting the option of selecting the "Startfile"?
I have seen on some versions of OSX that option comes a bit earlier in the setup process.

Re: Trouble accessing using Wine/Winebottler
John, I gave up for a while, but I am still stuck on installing Donor Manager. Things go just as described until step 12, when the "Select StartFile" menu pops up. The only options I get are to open it as a Wine app or something having to do with internet explorer.
I have uninstalled and retried it multiple times to no avail. Any suggestions?

Let's schedule a remote access session where I can see what you see.
Where are you these days? I am in the US (Florida) currently.
