Filtered Reports

Good morning, John.
I recently upgraded to DM 6.56 and have not been able to find a way to add filters to reports generated by the system. In particular, I am looking for a way to use Groups and specific countries in reports produced. I have supporters in three countries which support either my work or projects I am involved in. Groups let me identify the kind of project and obviously geographic location will help me scheduling appointments.
Is there a way to access filters or to write new filters for reports provided?
Anything you might offer as a suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated.
