Giving Details --- errors cannot be deleted

Under the "Giving Details" tab on the Partner Details screen, I find that some gifts which I entered with the wrong date and later deleted still appear! I have given them their own "fund" entitled "ERROR!" so I don't get them confused with the correct gifts. Thankfully, they DO NOT appear under the "Giving History" tab.

Thanks for this ... I'll check on this and see if I can figure out what might be happening here.

One short term solution ... try the /Tools /Pack and Reindex Table routine. See if that makes any difference.

Dear John,

You said to try the "Pack and Reindex Table" Routine under Tools. All I could find under Tools was the "Pack and Go" feature. I packed the data, then restored it, but the deleted gifts still appear in the "Giving Details" section.

Hi Dave,

This is a common confusion, and it's my fault!

There are actually two "tools" menus ... one is on the "home page" ... there is a "tools" section.

But, the one I was referring to that has the "pack and reindex" is on the pull down menus at the very, very top of your screen .... the normal "pull down" windows menus /File /Edit /Reports /Tools.

That's where you'll find the "pack and reindex."
