The ability to define regions is a good thing, but there is very little facilitation for the use of that regional definition. It was pointed out to me that there is a predefined, regional summary report, but that has limited usefulness to me.
What would be useful to me would be the ability to create a filter that uses regions as a criterion. Just like one can choose states or cities or countries from the Define Custom Filters -> Location pick-lists, it would really be helpful to me to be able to have the option to select and print out reports that include only records in specified regions.

Excellent suggestion! I'll put that on my "do" list for sure.
You can add multiple states to your filter, then save that filter with a name (that's how I handle this now) (eg: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, North and South Carolina and Tennesee are saved as "South East US"), but I'll see how difficult it would be to add the region as an option.
