What makes a unique user (user matching)?

Post by dpearceMN »

I can import all of my donations (Wycliffe USA) successfully. We have another list of folks that are prayer supporters and sometimes financial givers. When I try to import the second list and often wind up with duplicates.

What fields must match for DM to assume it is the same donor?

Thanks.

Sorry for the delay in the response.

For WBT, the Donor Manager looks at the constituent ID number to make the match.

You can import these, then try the "Look for and tag duplicates" option.

The "Look for and tag duplicates" is kind of buried down in the interface.

If you are using Donor Manager 5, follow this path:

Home -> Ministry Partner Listing -> Browse Full Screen -> Delete Multiple Records -> Look for and Tag Duplicates

In Donor Manager 6, you would follow this path:

Home -> Ministry Partner Listing -> Delete Multiple Records -> Look for and Tag Duplicates

See if that helps.
