Hi John
Have been using DM for years. Very helpful software.

Obliged to upgrade to new laptop, running Windows 10, 64 bit version.

DM 6 doesn't install properly, generates an error message "invalid path or filename".

Any suggestions?

thanks

Hi again, John
No reason that I can figure out ... on the third try, DM 6 installed properly.

Other questions may arise, but for now, this one can be marked as Solved.

Hi John,
I have the same problem as above.
Installing for the first time on a new PC Windows 10 Version 1803, 64 bit.
I have tried several times, including installing in different folders, but always get this:

Window: Microsoft VisualFox Pro
Dialogue box: Program error
Message: Invalid path or file name.

There is a 'help' button, but clicking on it didn't take do anything at all.

Many thanks for your consideration.
Joe

Hi Joe,

Sorry that you are having problems here.

What folder are you trying to install to? If it is c:\program files\ or (anything under that), DM does not run there.

It's a problem I'm working on.

Try installing into c:\donor6 or c:\users\<your name>\donor6 to see if that makes a difference.

Keep me posted on your progress here, or by email: john@donormanager.com

Thank you John,
It seems to have resolved - I clicked on 'ignore' in the dialogue box, then it started - and next time I started the program I didn't have the same issue.
Many thanks
Joe

Great.

I'm glad to hear that it has resolved itself.
