manual entry of gifts given before 1990
I've been moving into Donor Manager lately. I've imported all my Wycliffe electronic giving reports (back to 2002), and now am about to manually enter the remaining giving data. It seems, though, that the program will only accept giving data back to 1990. Is there a way to enter giving information f...

problems importing from Excel format
I have my data in Access 2007. I can export to Excel 5.0/95 or Excel 97-2003. When I export to 97-2003 format, DM complains just after I select the file to import saying, "Internal consistency error." When I export to 5.0/95 format, the comment field is truncated to 255 characters, and I have commen...

Can I modify the address portion of the envelope template?
I've decided to switch from my self-designed MS Access db which I've been using for several years to Donor Manager. In my db I have a Salutation field which is not simply something like "Mr. & Mrs." but rather the entire first line of the address. In this way, I can use a line such as "The Thompson ...

Sept Wycliffe HTML report posted OK, Aug. did not
I wrote a few days ago about the fact that my Wycliffe HTML report for Aug did not import into DM. Well, today I tried to import the Sept. report and it worked fine. So, there must be something unusual about my Aug. report. I may have to enter that data by hand. If there are any other Wycliffe peopl...

Wycliffe HTML import - version 7 : not working for me
I'm using DM 5.37.14 which I think is the latest available. About a month ago I tried to import my latest Wycliffe HTML gift file into DM. It didn't work, but I figured I'd wait for others to complain and then get the latest fixed version of DM. Well, it's been a month and nobody else seems to have ...

addendum
BTW, I just posted this to help you in your debugging. I will patiently wait for the next version. I don't currently depend on DM. I am still using my home-built Access DB, with the intent of moving my data over to DM someday.
Thank you for all the work you put into this. I appreciate it.

v.5.37.11 : imported from WBT HTML - no data
I've just imported my July WBT HTML report into Donor Manager (v.5.37.11). All appears to work; it says data is posted; but the data does not appear in any reports, nor in partner details.

re: liveupdate of 5.37.10
John, Here's what I've discovered about my update problem from 5.37.5 to 5.37.10. 1) I still don't know why liveupdate failed. I am not using a proxy server and the only firewall I'm using (besides NAT in my router) is the Windows XP SP2 firewall. 2) I now know why the update I downloaded manually a...

liveupdate of 5.37.10
Hello John, Today I attempted a liveupdate to version 5.37.10. (I was running 5.37.5)It didn't work. I suspect it's because I did not install the program in the default location. (Why don't you default it into "c:\program files\donor manager"?) Could this be the reason. So, I downloaded the update f...

click on column dividers to auto-set column width
I think it would be nice to be able to simply click on column dividers (in tables of data) in order to set the column width to the size needed to display all data in the column to the left of the divider (as can be done in Windows Explorer, for example).

linking entries in finance report to existing entries in db
The first time I processed one of the new format WBT (html) finance reports, donor manager asked me to link the donors in the finance report to existing entries already in the db. For the first few, only one entry was shown as a possible record to link to, so I started to very quickly process the do...
