Hi John,
Wycliffe Australia sends a Statement.pdf file, a Statement.txt file, and a Receipts.txt file each month, and none of them imports correctly into DM. Is this something you can look at? Thanks.

Re: custom envelope size
Hi John, What I'm trying to do is print a list of, say, 30 addresses (perhaps 'has given in the last 6 months') directly onto a 4"x6" postcard. We use postcards as thankyou notes, so it would be nice to put 30 postcards in the printer and have it print address after address directly on the postcard,...

Re: Doing "smart" searches
It seems to search for numbers in some fields, but not all. If I do a number search, it finds matching numbers in the Zip Code field, or the notes field, but not the Phone field.

Re: custom envelope size
I'd like to be able to print addresses on postcards (4"x6"). Is there a way to set that up, or have some more flexibility in placing the address where you want it?

Re: Truncated donor IDs causing misdirecting gifts
I'm having this problem, as well as the comments line problem. I've resorted to entering data manually because there are too many bugs with the import.

Where's John?
Just asking the question that everyone's been wondering.
Where are you John? Haven't seen on the forums in a long time. Any updates coming out in the future?
Still happily using DM.........

Giving Review - 'Date Thanked' next to 'Last Thanked'
Currently in the Giving Review there is a column 'LstThnk' which is very handy. I would also find it extremely handy to have a column that shows when an actual 'touch' or 'thank' was made. For example, someone gives in July, and I send a thank you card in September, it shows that I thanked them for ...

Quick Fix
I figured out a temporary fix for WBT US. 1. Open the file in WordPad. 2. Find all the entries of 'CC' and simply delete them (you can search for CC and do it that way, just don't delete the 'cc' in the word 'account'.) 3. Go 'Save as' and save the file under a new name (in case something happens), ...

that and Wycliffe Australia....
I've had this problem too. I thought it was a bug in my October file, but it's the same thing for my November file. On the plus side, it's nice to see this month's donations as $34,951,342.00. Also, the Wycliffe Australia import doesn't work. I get a 5 page .pdf from WBTA but it has never imported c...

'Add New Partner' generates 'Sort Name'
Would it be possible for DM to automatically create a 'Sort Name' after you add a new partner? I find I often add partners and later figure out I forgot to add a 'Sort Name', and they show up on the main partners list without a Sort/Last Name. (I was scratching my head trying to come up for things f...

Re: what do we call them ?
What term would you suggest for these? Not sure... so far I'm using a custom partner type called 'Former Contact' so I can filter them out of searches, but yeah, they still show up on the main list. 'Active/inactive' would probably work ('deceased' could be covered by 'inactive'. Or 'active/archive...
